Acoustic Panels That Absorb Without Deadening the Room

Cover a room in fabric panels and the highs disappear first. A scatter face panel puts a 3/8" prefinished birch plywood face over the core. Low and mid frequencies pass through the holes into the core. The solid wood between the holes reflects part of the highs back into the room, so it stays lively.

Transient or Pulse

Transient has columns of holes in a waveform, tallest at the center. Pulse spreads the holes across the whole face in an irregular pattern. Both come in the same hole sizes, cores and panel sizes.

Choosing a Hole Size

Bigger holes mean more absorption. Air (1" holes) suits control rooms, Bright (13/16") suits production, writing and rehearsal rooms, and Live (5/8") suits tracking and live rooms.

Broadband or Mid / High

Broadband panels have a 4" core, are 5-1/8" deep and absorb further down. Mid / High panels have a 2" core, are 3-1/8" deep and suit booths, offices and rooms that already have bass control.

Questions

What does the birch face do?

Low and mid frequencies pass through the holes into the core behind them. The solid wood between the holes reflects part of the highs back into the room, so the room stays lively instead of sounding dead.

What is the difference between Transient and Pulse?

The hole pattern. Transient has columns of holes in a waveform, tallest at the center. Pulse spreads the holes across the whole face in an irregular pattern. Hole sizes, cores and panel sizes are the same.

Which hole size should I choose?

Air for control rooms, where you want the most absorption. Bright for production, writing and rehearsal rooms. Live for tracking and live rooms, where you want the room to stay lively.

Does the fabric color show?

Yes. The panel's own fabric sits behind the face and shows through every hole. It shows most on Air and least on Live.

What sizes are available?

Five sizes: 2 x 4', 2 x 6', 2 x 7', 3 x 6' and 3 x 7', on a 4" or 2" core.

How do they mount?

Every panel ships with an aluminum Z-bar cleat wall mount kit.
